The Challenge

Where function meets form

For our first collaboration with Carhartt WIP, the brief was to translate the brand’s distinctive design language into a new Copenhagen showroom through a collection of bespoke furniture built around function, durability and considered detailing.

Carhartt WIP has a visual identity rooted in utility, where materials and construction are allowed to speak for themselves. The challenge was to retain that simplicity while ensuring every piece felt refined enough for a contemporary showroom environment.

For Rizlly, this meant taking the design intent through engineering and into production, carefully resolving each element so that material, proportion and functionality worked together. The result needed to feel purposeful rather than over-designed, with the precision of the execution supporting the understated character of the brand.

OUR SCOPE

From design to reality

Rizlly was responsible for the engineering, production and installation of the bespoke furniture for the Copenhagen showroom.

From translating the initial designs into production-ready solutions through to manufacture and final installation, our role was to ensure each element delivered the required balance of durability, functionality and finish, while remaining true to Carhartt WIP’s established aesthetic.

EXECUTION

Craftsmanship without compromise

The furniture was approached with the same principles that underpin the wider Carhartt WIP identity: honest materials, clean construction and practical functionality.

Rizlly’s engineering team translated the design intent into buildable solutions, resolving the details required for production without adding unnecessary complexity. From there, the focus shifted to precision manufacturing, with close attention paid to proportions, junctions and finishes so that each bespoke element felt considered as part of the wider showroom environment.

Installation completed the process, with the furniture positioned and finished on site to maintain the clarity of the original concept. Rather than competing with the product, the finished pieces create a functional framework around it, combining robust construction with a restrained visual language.

For a first project with Carhartt WIP, getting that balance right was key: Craftsmanship that can be seen in the detail, without needing to shout for attention.
